This 1950s property sits in a generous plot within a picturesque Dorset village but was let down by lack of bedrooms and a small kitchen. The typical 1950s stark detailing was without reference to the local vernacular.
In collaboration with Compton Smith Interiors, the house has been transformed into a spacious family home with enlarged windows and the addition of a large kitchen and master bedroom suite. Barge boards were added to the gables and timber boarding incorporated to visually separate the original house from the extension.
